This was a commission completed in the late summer of 2010. This one really had my heart in it. The patrons, as well as myself, have had the privilege to travel to the beautiful country, the beautiful island and light that is Greece. This is the composition, colors and shapes that makes me feel like I'm actually there and walking on those cobble stones, with view after view each angle, and the bluest of oceans, everyday. I'm glad, that I will always have this image that contains the piece of my heart I've given to Greece and all the memories...

I will have to upload some paintings from my summer study abroad in Greece 2008, because they truly are, perhaps, my most favorite paintings. Ironically, the ones without people in them, but its the light and the churches, the spirit of a country I feel madly more in love with every second I was there.

I never get tired of glancing at those little day paintings...

Feliz dia de Halloween

We're in times of celebration again! I love Halloween, a day for us to make our dress-up dreams a complete reality! I've had the privilege of bringing my friend's reality of "Sugar Skull" fantasies a reality by having a helping hand in making her lovely face dream with the colors and lavishness of that embodies a "Sugar Skull". Sugar skulls are fascinating in their celebration of the beauty of the human spirit and facial structure; even in a state after life, a skull is an icon representing the celebration of life.

Love abroad

Like those of the heaven blue islands of Greece. Because sometimes when you're in far away lands... you come across beauty at every sight, and fairytales may occur...

That is exactly the inspiration for these images, a story and mystery made between two pieces. The idea of love happening spontaneously in this way, with these lands of the Gods and the most beautiful, naturally lit place on earth to nurture such a surprise. I witnessed these wonderful blessings occur and it is so intriguing how real and life-changing moments like those can find you.

During the day, the lucky madame takes on an ensemble from Milly's Spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection, doing justice to the Grecian horizon in white, while the one who crosses her path wears the 2010 spring ready-to-wear collection by Hugo by Hugo Boss, such a gorgeous line for men, one to make any girl fall for. In preparation for the Grecian sun to rest, she wears her heart on a red, feminine, off-the-shoulder masterpiece by Stella McCartney's spring 2010 read-to-wear collection. Her desire arrives stallion-like in Hugo by Hugo Boss Spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection.

Diamond Nebula

"In the late 1950s, Jean Schlumberger was invited to design for Tiffany & Co., creating whimsical and surrealist pieces, incorporating natural and organic forms in his work. This iconic design was originally created in the 1960s for the Tiffany Yellow cushion-cut diamond of 128.50 cts."

EXOTIC GLAM is the concept for diamond nebula. Kind of an icon-effect, and glamourous, non-the-less with luscious, classic red lips. The face needed to be as exquisite as the over 15 grand she carries forth on her turban, along slide cascading peacock feathers. I had a blast with the shapes and colors in this one. Really an amazing piece of jewelry to illustrate; nothing better than to carry a diamond-encrusted royal bird with a crown, nesting above a yellow diamond.

Meow, miu miu

For some reason, those Miu Miu satin cat mary jane platforms inspired this entire image of a young lady laying down asleep, with these tribe of attending cats surrounding her in comfort. Perhaps its the innocence of those printed kitty cats on her feet that lead me to believe this would be the female to wear them. I intended to maintain a somewhat graphic-feel in shapes, in harmony to her shoes. This female would also, obviously, carry along all her heart-felt possessions in this very sweet, Miu Miu bird suede and python clutch.

Items featured are from Miu Miu's fantastic Spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection. Their collection feels so fresh, tailored and feminine, and the details of crystals and prints are absolutely mesmerizing!
